I didn't know that! :o Thanks for sharing. I think we still have some on the store shelves here. At least we did Saturday when I went shopping. Makes you wonder how long they have been there...

I never heard of such a thing either. Brenda, the store you were at must sell Pringles fast, considering there are apparently none at all in the entire store. Pringles are great.

We have two unopened cans.

It is hard to believe that something like the building that houses Pringles being hit by a tornado never made it on the national and for that matter the local news. I could of missed it... but having television news on often, I should have caught it.

Here is the article I found on the pringles plant
Pringles plant shut down by tornado; 6-week supply remains
SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER STAFF
Once you pop you can't stop, Pringles' slogan cautions.
Well, you may have to.
The tornado that ripped through Jackson, Tenn., Sunday shut down the Pringles plant there -- the only one in North America -- and Procter & Gamble has temporarily suspended all U.S. distribution of the snack food.
There's an estimated six-week supply of Pringles already in stores or en route. But if you get the munchies, you might want to stock up.
Procter & Gamble doesn't know when it will start shipping the chips again and, according to the company, people sure do eat a lot of them: 275 million a day.
The only other plant that makes Pringles, which are named after a street in Ohio, is just outside Brussels, Belgium.

After witnessing a tornado in our hometown, I remember walking by a greenhouse that had been destroyed. I looked out in the street and there, among the debris and flowers, was one of the old fashioned weighs-a-ton cash registers with coins and bills all around it. I remember thinking...that's strange that they would just leave that money and cash register out there where anyone could (and probably did) pick it up.
That was BEFORE I knew that 16 kids and 8 adults had been killed and more than 450 were injured. That money was insignificant.
I suspect there were those who found unopened cans of perfectly good Pringles in their yards and thought, "Strange that there would be a can of Pringles in my yard???"
It was when I saw the boy with a piece of wood through his leg and a horse in a tree that I realized the insignificance of a few bucks in the street.
Same goes for anyone first finding those Pringles and then looking around.
