Man v. Nature

Ok, in the past couple years we have had two major catatrophies. one man made, 9/11 and one nature made, Katrina. We have been shown that nature caused the most damage here, more death and bigger area of damage.
If a nuclear bomb or some other manmade disaster happened, it there a natural disaster that could outdo that?
What is worse, manmade or natural disasters? God Forebid.
Sorry, but the death toll is not in. I hope it is less than 9/11.

I think since 9/11, most of use were really scared of being hit again by terrorists and forgot a little about nature harming us too.
Since the tsumani and Katrina, I think people are going to be more aware of how powerful and dangerous nature can be.
I do not want to see any more disasters of either kind.

A hurricane like Katrina affects more land area than a single nuclear bomb would. However, the nuke makes the areas it affects uninhabitable for much longer than a hurricane does, even compared to the uniquely disastrous case of Hurricane Katrina and New Orleans.

Natural catastrophies are always rougher. A nuclear explosion can kills so many, but SUPER VOLCANO exploding is the ultimate. A SUPER VOLCANO almost led to the humans demise.

I forgot abotu super colcanos. Also there is teh chance of a major meteor strike. Either of those would do far more damage than any man-made weapon.
I was only thinking of more frequent types of natural disasters.

Cyclones in the Bay of Bengal have exacted some really horrendous death tolls. Floods in China likewise and let's not forget that 1976 earthquake in China.

Nature is always worse. An asteroid can crash into the Earth and cause the mass extinction of humans and many other species. That would be the ultimate disaster. Much worse than a nuclear bomb.
