Thanks! :D

I'm going to see him on 9/1 at the Borgata! I know his tour didn't hit Florida, but he was in Valdosta. Did you get to see him? I can't wait!!!

Enjoy the concert. I like his music and what he stands for....and if he can be all those things in the reviews, too, he's got a lot going for him.

I hope you do get to see him sometime!

Steve - this guy is so REAL, that's part of his appeal, not to mention the talent.

Yes, Raleigh is VERY proud of their native son indeed and how far he has come in life!! :D His mother Fay Parker is very nice, too! :)

I've read his book titled "Learning To Sing - Listening To The Music In Your Life" and would recommend it to anyone, also. :)

It is an excellent book; very personal and revealing of the type of man he is.

Did you ever meet Faye Parker, Eric? She has done an excellent job with her son. Actually, her other son, Brett, Clay's step-brother, is in Iraq right now. I believe he is in the Army.

No Steph, I never have met Faye Parker but have seen her on occasion in interviews as well as Clay, too, but seperately...from the news desk at Raleigh's WRAL-TV5 studio. :D One time Clay did a weather forecast with one of WRAL's mets Mike Maze! 8-) Clay also has been a grand marshal for the Raleigh Christmas Parade. :)

Yes, I read about Clay's step-brother Brett in his book, too, and saying that he was in the Army and on duty in Iraq. :flag:

Also, one of my pastor's brothers is serving in Iraq right now. :flag:

I've heard about doing the weather forecast and being the Grand Marshall. :D

Your pastor's brother is in my prayers!

For anyone that is in need of hearing the book, I saw a CD of the book in Wal-mart Saturday. Also, they had the new "Measure of a Man" CD with "Solitaire" on it. They also had a CD by some orchestra doing a tribute to Clay. I can't remember the name of the orchestra or the title of the CD.
