I want to preface my post by saying that I agree with your sentiment.

However, if you think rising prices resulting from increasing oil costs are bad, imagine how much costs will rise if the illegal immigration problem is "cured".

In the meantime, this town in Virginia is simply trying to do what they can within their authority to solve a local problem.

Form the way the article written, it looks like Herndon, VA is actively aiding illegal immigrants to get work and stay here illegally.

What they in fact did was create a place for day laborers to wait for work. Instead, they currently wait outside a 7/11, angering the store owners and the townspeople trying to shop there. The town has voted to solve a problem that affects their residents. They have no authority to arrest people for immigration status.

One wonder why the president, who allegedly cares abotu national security, has done nothing abotu illegal immigrants, thus forcing towns to take measures like this.

The president will do nothing about the illegal aliens because all he is worried about is the Oil in the Middle East.... Big Oil is the only thing on his last.

I'd get into this, but the way the talk about it on the evening news every night, I don't know what to say about it. I can see both views, but I'd be for it because not all of the workers are illegal, just unemployed for the time being.

Houston is a "sanctuary" city for illegals. The city created several day labor "camps" all over town several years ago, and it still doesn't keep them from trespassing on nearby private property. Houston PD took some pictures of illegals straying out of the day laborer camps and on to the private property of a person who lodged a complaint. LULAC went nuts and our police chief has now forbidden the cops from violating the civil rights of illegals (that's got to be an oxymoron) by taking their pictures. In Houston, the illegals have rights, but the private property owners don't.
