This is quite interesting as a teacher of young children. When my daughter (who is still learning to write) does a story she uses spelling very similar to this and most of the time I can make it out. I always thought it was because Auburn trained me to do it but from this article is something that we are born to do. Don't get me wrong...I do think phonics and spelling are important parts of learning to read but this is just interesting. I am going to have to send it to my aunt so she can pass it around her school.
