She just went to the Dr's and she is 3-4cm dilated 50% effaced and a -2 to -3. What does the negative -2 to -3 stand for. This will be my fourth and you'd figured I'd know it. Someone, anyone...Thanks...

The numbers indicate how far down into the pelvic bones the baby has reached. -3 is 3cm from the center of the pelvic bones, 0 is dead center and + numbers would indicate the baby's head is lower than the center of the pelvic bones.
