DH just went to home depot to buy ceramic tile for our living room, hallways, and the foyer. I wonder how long it will take him to start on it. I wonder how long will it take him to finish it. This should be interesting!

Call Ty Pennington from Extreme Home Makeover you may need him LOL... I have an incomplete bathroom in my house that is an example of the well meaning do it yourself project that went astray!

Advice from an old lady...

Give him a couple of weeks and then start doing it yourself. Might be surprised how quickly it gets done then. If he doesn't jump in ... you will have learned something new. I've laid tile in 3 big rooms and a bathroom. Believe me, it ain't all that hard.

I already started by pulling the old carpet up in the living room and the hallways. I also got the sheet lineleum out before the garbage came today. I still have two bathrooms and a closet to do. I am taking a break right now.

Good for you. Sometimes a man needs a wake up call -- we don't always need them.
