#1 Postby Janice » Sat Jul 30, 2005 6:50 pm

I know how to add a link to a photograph, but how do you add the whole pictures to a post? Thank you, BobbySocks

Right click on the photo.

Choose "Properties." Should be the bottom of the list.

That will take you to a seperate screen.

Copy the address [or URL] from that page.

Come to the "post a reply" page on Storm2K.

Click "Img" from those buttons above where you type.

Paste the URL.

Click the "Img" button again, to close the link.

That's it.

Hope I helped!

The images must be on a publically-accessible server to work. ;) They cannot reside on a local disk.

Thanks, I think I can do it from Webshots, but I think my problem is that the picture is animated. I will keep trying. I can't seem to get an animated picture into my Webshots.

Looks like you got it, Janice!

I use Photobucket, and, link to my pics from there.

Animated pictures should work too. That's how we post loops...

Man, I wish we could post pictures from our hard disks. I have a wealth of information from the 2004 hurricanes and this year's, as well as many radar and sat images of supercells from the previous two years. (yes I know I have WAY too much free time on my hands) I hate writing HTML, takes so long, and Geocities, you've to resize your images using Photoshop instead of directly via HTML, that takes long, only has 15 MB limit for uploading your images. Angelfire only has 20 MB limit, that could help, but I don't really want to go there either. So, I'm seriously considering Photobucket, but I don't know how much is the limit for Photobucket. Does anybody know?

Thanks in advance!

I don't think Geocities or Angelfire allow hotlinking anyways, so no loss there. Photobucket's free accounts allow 25MB of space and 1500MB of bandwidth per month.

Maybe give Imageshack a try, too.
