storm2k opened october 8th...2002, however a lot of us were together in forums such as lowes PDI2000...and talkcity days in the late 90s. I know a lot of us "old timers" remember this!

Ahhh...the good ole Lowes PBIboard days. It surprises me the owners of storm2k haven't given PAUK an invitation to join yet.

I know the newer folks won't get that one, but I just couldn't resist.

I wasn't aware the gopbi boards were so well-known. That's where I started too... I just got annoyed last year by several of the posters, and when someone posted a link to this site, I jumped and didn't look back.

I was here back when those boards were open. So I guess you could call me a veteran.

Was Pauk that guy who was always forecasting doom for the NE? Didn't he have some kinda color code scheme too, just not as bad Great One's?

--------------------> *swooooosh!!!* Wow, that was
JQ, wasn't it, Garrett? Hey, buddy!

Astro_man92, this place has grown like a field of wildflowers
after a season of spring rains! LOL, people were jumping on,
here and there, like hobos jumping on a train. Then, all of a
sudden, it was a real community - growing, and expanding
outward - kinda like the suburbs of a big city. It's been fun
watching this site grow!

Hey guys! Long time no see :) I do try and pop in every once and a while. The summer just blows...i never get to see any good weather, although this early tropical season has brought me back to lurk...and even post every once and a while. Breeze and Garrett, hope you and the rest of the gang are doing well! I'll definitely stick around more that I've moved back home...don't have the peer pressure to go out every night like at my apt.

So what were the fates of those old forums you guys were part of? Are they still there? Just curious.

Hey, breeze; weren't you one of the "Black ???day" refugees from that unnamed wx forum? We weren't "hobos", we were....

"azsnowman's Lonely Heart's Club BANNED!" :band:

Bill - I love that!! A new slogan has been born....

wxmann_91 - A good number of S2K members posted and met at TWC boards. Many topics have sprung up from that day/time.....if I get a chance, I'll find a few old topics to post links for. Let's just say the atmosphere 'there' pushed many of us elsewhere. Or bans. So glad I ended up here at S2K and I'm among good company (we used to call ourselves TWC refugees....but I like Bill's new nic for us....LOL)

You can go to the Greetings Forum and click on the last page, #71 I think. Lots of welcome threads from back then, some explaining what happened over at TWC. One minute we were all welcome there, the next, bans were being handed out like candy at a parade. It was crazy! I was eventually banned too.....who wasn't? LOL Here's my welcome thread from Feb. 2003....Marshall/mf_dolphin explains S2K's origin, for newbies....

I also started a simple copy and paste topic a few months ago. You just posted your nic and where you heard about S2K from. That might tell who came from where.
