The High Plains Regional Climate Center, affilliated with the University of Nebraska - Lincoln, was offered a tour of The Weather Channel in Atlanta, GA.
This was possible due to a personal relationship between the HPRCC and TWC. It should be noted that the TWC facilities are NOT open to the public.
Enjoy!

Bring me a hair from Stephanie Abrams...I want to do DNA testing for the "blonde moment" gene.

Don't drink the water there. It's known to have been the source of something called miraculous cirrocumuloconception!

Looks like a good time! I would go bonkers trying to work with those green walls.

Those green walls are fun! I've spent many hours on the 'blue' wall doing presentations. (Station I was at was blue.)
Note to editor of the pictures... Gallery 4. It is NOT Carl Parker as noted... it is Mike Bettes. Just thought I'd let you know.

Well, there is a member named CincinnatiSun (Steve) here who is a good friend of Kim Lopez (she also hails from Cincy!) and he's had some tours of TWC studios...so you have to have connections so to say to get a tour...since the general public isn't given tours.

Steve - I swear you ~stole~ my post.....LOL
Eric - Steve/CincinnatiSun has enjoyed a TWC tour or two. He'd mention specific forecasts with Kim Perez on air, that he was able to stand feet away watching live. That would be neat!
So yes Brian, it's great that you get to tour TWC. They just don't let ~anyone~ in that building....you're in an elite club, my friend.
Enjoy and report back. Should we overnight express an S2K hat and shirt to you? he he That would not sit well with JohnAdmin, from TWC message boards, if he's still around somewhere.....he'd toss you out the door Brian. On second thought, don't mention S2K. LOL

Mary,
We truly are like-minded...Cincy Steve popped into my mind right away when I read Brian's topic!

I do, too. I've seen him every now and then in the past occasionally...but not in quite some time.
