Nancy Grace-Like her?

This writer obviously does not:

This lady is a disgrace to journalism. She is not fair, balanced or even willing to listen to other views. I can't believe she's got a prime time show on a major network!!

There's a difference between being a victim's right advocate and being a sociopath oneself.

I am a CNN fan, but I am definitely not a fan of Nancy Grace. Yuck.

I still remember her interview with Max Mayfield last year during Charley when she exposed herself for the unintelligent bimbo that she is.

"What is that? It looks like a lava lamp!!!!"

It was a radar loop.

I think she's a little too harsh(or some other word I can't come up with right now). She seems to convict every suspect on her show which is a big turn-off to me. I'm sorry about what happened to her fiancee years ago but we don't need to hear about it all the time. Terrible things happen to a lot of people.

That was hillarious and THEN, as if she couldn't take off her prosecutorial hat or something, she started berating the hurricane center and other experts almost blaming them for the storm.

She looks perpetually angry. I used to scrunch up my Barbie's heads when I was little and they looked the same exact way.

She definitely needs some brow work done to get rid of that scowl. Other than that, I haven't paid much attention to her.

CentFlGal...I think you are right. She IS perpetually angry, and although her own sad past gives her a microscope through which to see, I find her more offensive than enjoyable...and clearly on a mission to right some of the own wrongs in her past.

What's more...CNN's Headline News has gone by way of TWC. When I wanted the news in quick order, I used to go to HLN. Now...they have replaced it with Nancy Drew's Storm Stories and yet another version of Hollywood's Most Disgusting Disappointments.

I think with the right investors and the guts to stay with the program someone could actually make a go of an all news channel and an all weather channel....each in real time!

Nothing more. Nothing less.

I agree that harsh is an understatement. I was channel surfing a couple of weeks ago and stumbled on her interview of the mom of one of the hotel workers who was falsely fingered in the missing girl in Aruba. Nancy went up one side and down the other as if the woman was evading her questions - the woman was actually having a hard time understanding what she was being asked because Nancy was rattling off on a million things at once.

From the linked article:

("Could. The girl. Be. Alive?" she'll say, with characteristic drama.)

LOL A William Shatner wannabe.

Beam me up, Scotty.

I guess looks aren't always so deceiving then.

Maybe she'll move past this angry point in her life; I certainly wouldn't want it to be on-camera in front of everyone if it were me, but hey, all the power to her.

LOL @ Nancy Drew and Hollywood Disappointments. My weather info comes from the 'net our very own S2K exclusively; the boob tube is reserved for old war flicks and black & white movies. I'm growing strangely fond of Jimmy Stewart... is that normal for a Gen Xer?

As I just noted in another post...I am still an admirer of some of the staff and OCM's at TWC. I list them among my "treasured weather friends." They have great respect for me...and me for them.

But like you CentFlaGal, I get a growing amount of weather and news online and by phone.

I can understand the US government missing the opportunity for the US Post Office to control email many years ago (a very scary thought indeed)...but I struggle to understand what drives an all news channel to make changes like that during prime time.

You are being pulled in by the dark side...so may the force be with you!

:roflmao:

Eh, the dark side ain't so bad.

News channels are falling prey to the ratings monster. Heavens forbid they stick to reporting the facts...

I'm just not into it anymore. I can't watch the sensationalism without thinking about Bradbury's or Orwell's vision of what was in store for us. Soma, anyone?

I enjoy watching her when I agree with her. When I disagree she makes me sooo angry. The reason I do enjoy watching her is that she does get things out of some people that others can't. I guess I am in the minority though. :)

I agree with Nancy Grace's viewpoint almost all the time.. Especially recently concerning Wacko Jacko, Robert Blake, etc... Also, she did alot to keep the Jessica Lunsford case in the spotlight. She certainly would not let that one drop, she spotlighted Jessica Lunsford on her show almost nightly when other networks werent even covering it anymore. I give Nancy alot of credit for that. However, on the annoying scale of 1-10.. 1 being not annoying and 10 so annoying it makes you wanna choke somebody I give Nancy about an 8. She certainly grates on your nerves after about 10 minutes. I prefer the Abrams Report, if I watch a news program
