Can you say "Economic Terrorism"? These oil prices look like a deliberate attempt to weaken if not wreck our economy. The price of oil has a ripple effect, and drives up prices on everything - literally. Forget about any benefit of raising minimum wages, too. That has already been eaten-up by the rising gasoline/fuel prices. So, is it just greed or is it also a back-door attack on the USA? Maybe both. The one thing that always makes me go nuts is how they whine about production, supplies, supply and demand and so-forth. THE THING IS, though, that you can go anywhere in the country and buy all of the gas you want. Oh, at the "market-driven" higher prices, that is!

Well the oil market closed today with a new record high at $60.54.Is the first time that oil closes above $60 and that is not good for consumers who will pay for more gasoline, the energy bills and other things related.I think that riding a bike will be a good thing.

Prices in Houston have actually gone down over the past 2 months or so. We're at about $1.80ish for regular. I do believe... Ick. Either way, it's still about $30 for a full tank. :x

they're too high in Miami!

What we need to do is start drilling the entire GOM, where we have extremely large reserves. Environmental concerns are secondary at this point, when any significant increase from here could cause economic problems

Environmentalist - Delaying the inevitable . Why wait untill it is $5.00 a gallon. Drill wherever possible, while we still have a economy..........

Agree Derek. The US has plenty of reserves than can use to supplie the demand.Dont wait for oil to go over $100 a barrel.

$2.02 a gallon here... hard to believe it's about the cheapest in the nation. It's been steady for awhile now around $2.00 but I feel it's about to go up.
