Woo hoo! Feeling Good and wanna share :)

I went to church tonight after work.. and they were doing a special service tonight where about 10 people shared their experiences from a mission trip our church took to Honduras 2 weeks ago.

During all this.. I felt a strong and bold "call" from above.. It said.. "Next year, become 1 of the missionaries on the trip".

So.. I've decided.. If I can remember to take my vacation at the same time of the mission trip.. I'm GOING!.. I'll start putting $ aside.. even though the church would pay for a lot.. I've been told I'd still better save some $.. {Maybe like 10-15 dollars a week or somethin}..

I just was "told".. Go on that trip! You need to Go! You'd like it.. plus it'd give you a chance to share your faith and your story when you returned!"

Plus.. On top of that.. I have never been out of Florida let alone the country lol..

Woo hoo  lol

VERY happy for you, John!! :D

Speaking of missions...there was a guest missionary woman who has been ministering in Jordan with her husband and she spoke this morning in a ladies SS class today at my church...Mom was blessed to hear her as it was a ladies only invite. :)

I just gotta figure out exactly how much $ I'll need.. and I gotta figure out when exactly is next years' trip so that I can make sure not to take my weeks' vacation till the week of the trip..

It'd be an awesome oppurtunity.. Plus as I stated I have never been out of Florida, let alone out of the US lol

That is a really awesome goal to work towards John. Don't lose sight of it.

Hey, if the trip doesn't pan out, remember that there are "mission" needs here at home, too. Don't let going overseas or not determine service or not. Myself, I have wasted a LOT of time, trying to write and illustrate the "perfect" little tract to leave here and there. Since that proved elusive, I found that I was basically doing nothing at all. My wife finally said "Just do a bookmarker or something like that, but DO something". And with tracts and all - I realize now that God is not a used car salesman or info-mercial guru. His gospel speaks for itself - we don't need to "market" or "spin" it. Okay, enough cyber-church.

Read Ephesians 6, verses 11 through 13.
