I would send a good ole southern meal - chicken fried steak - mash potatoes and gravy with green beans - buttered roll and a slice of chocolate pie.
I think that would be a nice meal for our soldiers.

I'd personally send the Thanksgiving type meal too. Easy to digest (remember they haven't been eating well of much at all) and good for you too. If I was stuck over there that's what I'd want - turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, biscuits, etc. I certainly wouldn't want a burger, for example. Just good home cooking.

How 'bout some tender, juicy baby back ribs - meat falling off the bone, drenched in hickory smoked BBQ sauce. Throw in steaming, buttered corn on the cob, steak fries, and cole slaw. Warm brownie a la mode for dessert.
