By showing the Perfect Storm tomorrow night. I just saw the commercial for it a little bit ago. Like people really need to see a movie with 100 ft waves tossing around a boat.
This is my first post by the way and I just wanted to say what a great site this is. I really enjoy everyones opinions especially when they back it up with an explanation.

I was thinking the same thing when I just caught the preview too. Another Apprentice fan I gather? Welcome to the board.

It was scheduled some time ago to air this month. I suppose they could have changed it. But it's not like they purposefully made a point to air it in the midst off all this chaos.

I'm sure it was scheduled months ago.

Oh yes they did. Diaster sells. Doom Death Destruction means better ratings

With all these major storms this year, I bet Hollywood will have a blockbuster movie out in the near future.

Thats usually when I break the Perfect Storm out anyway, when a big nor'easter is raging outside with the ocean eating the dunes and huge waves with high winds and heavy snow. Granted this is a hurricane and it will be nowhere near me. I guess its kind of like experiencing the storm a little bit. By the way, imagine if hurricanes could occur in cold climates- imagine that blizzard

A sand blizzard? No thanx, NJ...sand really hurts when hurled at you with 100 mph gusts! Watch-on...I guess a virtual storm never hurt anyone...it's the best kind I'd say.

I was thinking the same thing. But, then I thought.. how many people around the nation really have no idea the devastation an hurricane can bring to an area. So, I guess it doesn't surprise me much.
Ashe...who has found herself singing "should I stay or should I go now.." a lot the past few days....

Then again, it could have nothing to do with ratings or anything else...it's not like that movie is never on. It could very well have been scheduled in the rotation a long time ago. Just coincidence. Or not.

If in fact it had been sceduled a long time ago, it may not be a coincedence that it was scheduled at the historical high point of the hurricane season (me thinks)

FritzPaul -- a script has already been written and Sean Astin is set to produce a movie based on the book "Isaac's Storm" and the 1900 Galveston hurricane.
Novelty -- I agree.

I saw the coming attractions for it as well. I love the movie, but the timing couldn't have been worse.

Reminds me of something that jetBlue passengers could choose to watch while they were in the air- the documentary "When Planes Crash." Not the best thing to watch while you are flying!

I was at work on Friday and the promotions lady was saying that Donald Trump made a commercial for the Floridians.... (on the basis of the apprentice)

It's been scheduled for months. Can't just cancel because Ivan is in the Caribbean.
