Iraq and Russia

Just saw on Foxnews that documents found raise questions about the relations between Iraq and Russia. Seems Russia had a signed agreement to share intelligence with Iraq. Also found were documents that Russia helped the regime right before the war.

I believe we will also find documentation about the relations between France and Iraq as well.

Yes Sunnyshine - I think so too - wonder what Russia is going to say about this publicly?

I hope we make public all of this kind of information! It's time the world realizes that the opposition to the war was about greed and not peace! We should cut-off aid and support to France, Germany and Russia!

Yes, we may possibly learn MORE of the reasons why certain
tails were tucked under when the call to fight came...

You're absolutely right. It seems that these countries hoped that the US and Britain will fold under their pressure of not approving the "final" resolution. They obviously had alot to hide. It seems that their gamble did not pay off...

It gets "better"...Russia was feeding Saddam with transcripts of messgaes from Tony Blair to world leaders, detailed naming of U.S. troops being deployed, and...a list of assassins for Saddam's use worldwide.

Add the French munitions spares and tools for the Mirage Fighters, German gunship helicopters and "clean-room" technology (not to mention the German-designed bunkers), Jordanian ammunition, Russian-made small arms, RPGs, wire-guided missiles and ammo, Chinese and North Korean medium-to-long range missiles...and some of these were supposed to be "friends"...

I think there is a big connection with Syria and France as well especially seeing how France wants us to back off of Syria. France says this is not the right time for Bush to make threats to Syria about harbouring Iraqi leaders???? Something tells me Syria is hiding alot of info and other related Iraqi & France stuff that France doesent want us to find!
I think we should pay them a visit if Syria doesnt start comming clean.

Big Connections

CENTCOM has known for quite some time that Syria has been affording support to Saddam. Remember that they sent in their version of 'special forces' when the war began to help Saddam within Baghdad. He & his cronies were helped - and possibly even smuggled out via the help of Syria. We knew they were moving North. Again, remember that Turkey did NOT want us to move in from the North; this doesn't smack of 'deal' to you? We've known of the French/German/Syrian Connections for weeks; our Special Forces, Rangers, Delta Teams and CIA have been on the ground in Northern Iraq for MONTHS. Remember the photo of the CIA agent riding a horse - and clutching a laptop? Our guys are really hot - and need the support and respect of any 21st Century Warrior. However, when our own, ahem 'allies' screw the pooch and give the game plan to the enemy - this is treasonous.
If Saddam is indeed still alive somewhere, helped by these countries - then we have a far, far greater problem than just Iraq. The U.S. will have to deal with everyone and think as an Intel agency - trust no one, "allies" included. The more more trustworthy they become, the less trusted they are.

Besides the polictical stance, Syria is well-known throughout Middle Eastern history as the western terminus of smuggling activities, back long before the Crusades; this is where the famous "Silk Road" ended.

It is opined that the vast majority of Western European "help" came through Syria..some in the form of "third-party" merchants who were "sold the goods" for eventual Iraqi use.

I for one surely hope Bush does not give in and let Russia, France, or Germany help rebuild Iraq...What nerves they have to suggest that they should have a big role or the UN for that matter in rebuilding Iraq!
IMO they should have zilch in any matters relating to Iraq other then Humanitary relief....

Nerves? Ooooooh....I call them "brass balls".......!

I like the idea of their cleaning toilets after coalition troops
and polishing their boots...but, that's just IMO...... :grrr:

I think we should send some of their weapons back! I'm sure we can find some people willing to pull the triggers :-)
