My animals have always ruled my home. The cat sleeps on the bed, my dog used to as well. My husband fights with me because if I could I would have a whole farm inside my house!

Animal in my home?NEVER!A Faithful Friend with Unconditonal Love and unending capacity for gentleness, this Beast..this Animal as you refer has become my lifeboat in a raging turmoiled sea.
He was a B-Day Gift from CJ.He is mine..I am his.He is 'Franklin Doggonoe
Roosevelt'FDR...better known as Franklin.
He is sweet, kind, and wonderful with Children, the Elderly or a Troubled Teenager. He can make a dying man grin.
He is stunningly handsome, groomed with a Courderoy Field Cut...large for a Cocker..he is a Scottish Spaniel..Buff in Colour.Perfect Gate, huge fluffy paws that are silent and light. He is swift and smart.Childlike.He is quiet.Seldom a Bark..never a Growl or Show of teeth, unless I am threatened. It happened once. The person paid dearly for it.It was his only violent moment,I doubt he will ever revisit.I trust him..and he me.He is my Co-Pilot and is Glad for my Company.
He is no Animal..he is Franklin.I love him very much.
Fury,
I am so sorry.I read your post late.I was not trying to be insensitive.
Take care of Winston..he needs a friend now too.
I lost my 12 yr old Cocker,Joey to Cancer 1.5 years ago..It was sad.
Franklin is the spitting image of him at 7 yrs.I hope your sorrow heals soon.Take Care.

1 cat 1 dog. I think they think they're related. Both are adopted. Both are black. Baby (dog) has a little white on her feet. They're the same size. Puddy is an AMERICAN (LOL) shorthair. Baby is a Lasa-Poo.

I guess this should go in the "Most people don't know I..." thread too. We rescue animals. Or should I say, we help our County rescue them. I think the Animal Control budget in our County is about $4.95 a year.
We're set up for dogs. They can run outside on about a half an acre, and I have built a shelter (dog condo) for them. Right now we have 10. Plus our 2 pet (inside) dogs. But they are all really pets to us.
We go through about 150lbs. of dog food a week. !!!

Pets are really special to me. I grew up with a Siamese cat that I had named "Otomee" Oh 2me. I got that name from The Ed Sullivan Show. There was some belly dancer on his show by the name of Otomee. After Ed announced her, he admonished her to "Sock-it-to-me Otomee".
I grew up with that cat. Hated to see her go.

Storm, I'm so sorry to hear about Wicket's passing...they become
members of our families!
Constructionwx, jeeez....! That's a goodly amount of food! :o
My 'ole Alex is Akita/Black Lab....all black, except the white chest,
white paws, and white tip at the end of her curly tail! I tried the
"inside" thing when she was younger, but, alas, she sheds her
thick coat so bad in late spring, I couldn't stand the hair in
the house! So, she has a warm bed, right next to the back steps
on the carport, and seems perfectly content to wander from my
house to my brother's, next door, where everyone feeds her
snacks and rubs behind her ears! Poor starving dog......LoL...!

Thanks, Bfez1.
ConstructionWX. Pets are very special to me as well, as they are, IMO, like family. I'm even a bigger cat lover. But losing any pet is like a death in the family to me. But, at least, Wicket is no longer suffering.
I have a lot of respect that you rescue dogs and animals. Keep up the good work.

Mike, I am very sorry to hear about the loss of your dog, Wicket.
As many of you may know, I have two Siamese cats, Simon and Samon, they are littermates. They turned 6 on January 6th. Simon, the seal point, is behind me on my bed and Samson must be in the other room.
ConstructionWx, glad to hear you had a Siamese cat, too.
