We're considering vacationing in Door County, Wisconsin this summer. Has anyone been to this region? Looks just beautiful - light houses, beaches, boating, fishing villages, etc. However, there are so many communities to consider, I'm not sure which one is best. I'm leaning towards Egg Harbor right now. Also, here's a link if that will jog your memory:

Wow vacation - sounds like fun. I don't get one this year - Hubby and me changed jobs so we are on the bottom of vacation time ladder.

Quick edit - I've only tried talking my husband into this trip for 3 years now. I keep seeing magazine articles for this region. He must have thought it was a tourist trap. Doesn't seem that way to me. Takes him a while to warm up to a new idea! We've stayed many times at my father-in-law's FL condo but it's time to see new places. I'm hoping someone here has vacationed in Door County and can steer me in the right direction.

I wish I could help but I don't know anything about that area. I'll tell you what though, it sounds wonderful. Can I go with you? :o
