Lebanese and Iranian TV claiming that "popular uprisings" are taking place in both Basrah and Baghdad; according to one such report, 35 fedayeen Saddam have been killed inside the capital. British troops are reporting increasing local assistance in identifying Ba'ath Party militiamen, fedayeen and clandestine fighters.

US State Dept, Pentagon and CENTCOM are hearing the reports, but cannot confirm them at this time.
