:( This just in from azcentral.com, the woman from Tuba City, Cprl. Piestewa, with 507th Mec. Division is one of the confirmed dead in the ambush. Received a phone call this morning from a dear friend who I grew up with on the White Mountain Apache Reservation, said this was his cousin. May she rest in Peace :(

Dennis :(

So many towns are having to deal with their fallen
loved ones. Seeing Jessica Lynch's hometown celebrating
her rescue was such a blessed sight, knowing how many
communities won't be doing that. So sad!

I'm so sorry to hear of your friend's loss Dennis!

Though I didn't know these two brave soldiers, there have been two from my area, that had been killed over in Iraq too within the past week.

You're right Annette, there will be many more families mourning their losses. I hope that the other POW's will be rescued soon so that those families will be celebrating just like Jessica Lynch's family is.

This was clearly a "Fedayeen Saddam" execution; these are the most brutal and sadistic, maybe as many as 4,000, and blindly loyal to Saddam.

Just returned from a visit with Victot, needless to say, he's a little shook up as one might expect. He too was a Marine in Vietnam, awarded a Purple Heart back in 1969, from Vietnam he went to Camp Pendelton as a DI for 2 years, came out as a Gunny Sgt, a VERY PROUD Native American Vietnam Vet. Thank goodness I had a disignated driver coming home :D

OK, this is WAY, WAY, WAY tooooo weird! I don't know how many of you know anything about the Native American culture and their beliefs, you see, I am part Native American myself and we have a LOT and I do mean a LOT of superstitions within our cultures. The Hopi say that when one passes on from this world, your spirit will come back for a visit to your home in the form of moisture, be it rain, snow, whatever, WELL.....this is NO JOKE people, I swear on the Bible with this one, just a few hours ago, the Hopi Tribal Chairman and Medicine Man, visited the home of Ms. Piestewa and just as he did, I swear to God, it started SNOWING!!!! Now HOW freaky is THAT??? I don't know if you've been watching CNN today, they had one of their affiliates there, the news station I watch, KTVK, and they showed the SNOW!!!
