what if saddam has escaped to syria??

this could be a disaster. he will be next door and be able to destabilize any iraqi govt. the only choice i see is to(assuming he is in syria) demand syria give him up or face war. we can not allow saddam to become a hero to the whole arab world. wherever he is, we need to be planning a hit raid to take him out.

i agree...not capturing or killing Saddam in this war would make the war almost a complete failure. I knwo they'd destroy the government, but theleader wouldn't be gone.

not only that, but with saddam alive anywhere in the world, the iraqi people would be terrified he would return. they would be afraid to cooperate with us.

We will get him one way or another..There is too much at stake if we don't..Have faith Saddams end is near!!
