Proud To Be An American
Chokes me up every single time
If tomorrow all the things were gone,
I’d worked for all my life.
And I had to start again,
with just my children and my wife.
I’d thank my lucky stars,
to be livin here today.
‘Cause the flag still stands for freedom,
and they can’t take that away.

Amazing Grace. This is my mothers favorite song. She has alzheimers, and I think of her everytime I hear it.

Proud To Be An American! My best friend and I sang it the other night at karaoke, and people just kept coming up to sing it with us, and we were all teary-eyed by the end!
