My daughter just went and bought a not so little black Lab puppy! She's 7 weeks old and weighs a ton! Her mom weighs 85 lbs! Yikes!

We went to PetSmart and bought her a pretty hot pink jeweled collar and leash! She sure looks purty in it! Got her a bed and toys!

My other 2 dogs aren't too sure about her but they'll come around!

Is there any dog that can chew up more stuff? We have a chocolate freebie that is almost a year old. We think she may be done with the chewing now. Good luck and get a big crate.

Actually Beer, labs need ATTENTION, ATTENTION, ATTENTION! Michelles SAR dog is a purebred white lab...she too was a chewer until we found out that labs are the MOST co dependent dog that a person can own, BAR NONE!

Cajun, CONGRATS on the lab 8-) They ARE the BEST breed, WELL.....I'll take that back, Flat Coat Retreivers "ARE" the best, followed by labs!

Well she gets plent of attention but we had to buy some groceries. A few hours later we returned to find she had been chewing on the baseboard at a corner in the hall. I don't know how she found the carpet seam but let's just leave it at that.

Shawn - GMTA huh? I was thinking that too as I read CajunMama's topic title - let the little guy bark!!! I'm still mad at that dog owner too. Grrrr.

Enjoy that new pup CM, puppy days are over so quickly. Our 'puppy' is 4 and weighs 78 lbs. now! She still behaves like a puppy though - we call her our forever puppy.

Oh, Kathy, when I read your topic, I said to
myself, "OMG!!! It's gonna CHEW!!!" LOL, I see
that you have been warned, already, though.
Mine chewed a hole CLEAN through the hard
rubber bumper of my SUV - you could see the
tooth marks going into the bumper! (<---this
is NO tall tale - it's true - I got witnesses!)
The wooden porch swing ended up with nice
rounded corners, tooth marks included - the
wooden back porch steps met the same doom.
BUT - on a good note, you picked a wonderful
friend for life! They're one of the sweetest and
friendliest breeds you'll ever know! ;)

My neighbor 2 houses up the street has a nice chocolate Lab named Harley. :) He's VERY well-behaved. :D

I've watched he and his owner play fetch across the street on an open area of grass...about the nicest run and play area for a dog being the front/back yard areas for a townhouse are pretty limited.

Oh it's a Labrador. When I saw the subject, I thought you saved it from an animal testing lab.

Silly me!

My Yellow Lab just turned one year old today. At the last vet visit he was 82 lbs. He is one good dog for his age.
