Gotta admit -- I like it also, but I either have to record it or watch reruns during the summer since it's on during MustSeeTV.

Reports: 'CSI' Actors Fox, Eads Fired

LOS ANGELES - Two stars of the CBS hit television series "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" were fired for breach of contract, KCBS-TV and Variety reported Thursday.

Actors Jorja Fox and George Eads, who play investigators Sara Sidle and Nick Stokes, were fired after asking for more money to stay on the show, according to the reports.

Danica Smith, publicist for both Fox and Eads, told The Associated Press that Fox was fired Wednesday but did not have details. Smith could not confirm whether Eads was fired.

A CBS spokesman said the network had no comment.

Eads didn't show up for work Thursday, the first day of production for the next season, according to the news station and Variety, which posted a story on its Web site Thursday.

The actors were in the fifth of their seven-year contracts.

Though a search was under way for their replacements, it's unclear whether show creators will recast the characters or develop new ones, the reports said.

The show picked up four Emmy nominations Thursday, including one for best drama series.

There will be a CSI:New York this fall starring Gary Senise, etc.

For those who watch CSI:Miami you'll recall that Miami and NY did a combo investigation in an episode this past season.

I saw that Shawn. It will be interesting to see if these changes affect the ratings any. I know that there are a few shows that I used to watch specifically because I loved one or two of the actors. If they would have left, I would have quit watching the show as well. We shall see if this affects CSI any.

Not that it matters... they have 50 other CSI's anyway. ;)

LOL! Well, Law & Order has continued to run, after several cast changes and with several spin-offs. I'm sure CSI will survive. It's just the first cast change (I think) for this show.

So there may be some missing pieces when we start watching again this fall?

As noted...there are plenty of CSI's around. I happen to like the Thursday night show the best.

Jorga Fox isn't the glue that holds the show together anyway.

My mom's a big fan of any CSI show, so no matter what happens, my mom would still watch the shows.

I mainly watch CSI: Miami, but every so often , I'll watch CSI: Vegas (thursday). Anyways, that is horrible news that Fox and Eads were released from their contract.
