Even if you don't have kids.. but happen to know the date you or your neighborhood goes back to school.. Feel free to say so because I'm kinda curious..

Here..

K-12 kids return to school August 5th
Orange County schools return August 9th

so summer is almost up for them...

Man........GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. I go back to school on Monday.

Not soon enough.

Where I used to live (Roanoke Rapids, NC) they've always gone back by at least early to mid August...now down here in Raleigh many kids go to school year-round.

I'm homeschooled, but my sister goes back August 9th(6th grade)

My son starts kindergarten on the 11th of August... My baby is growing up to Fast. I think I am more nervous than he is

One graduated and the other one starts back August 6th.

September 1st for the kids in Lower Burrell.

Bill, that is when kids should go back to school. August 6th is on a Friday. I used to get a good three months for summer off. Now these kids only have 2 months.

Amanzi.. I feel bad for you about your child starting kindergarten.. I'm sure that will be an emotional day for both you and the child..

Be strong and remember.. cherish the memories of the child's 13 years of school {K-12}.. they may go quicker than you think

I start my college career on August 23, a Monday, at Univeristy of Nebraska-Omaha.

I start back to college on the 23rd as well.

The school where I am teaching p/t starts back on the 18th though.

Coppertop gets his junior-year HS books, fees paid and picture taken on 11 AUG, and first day is 19 AUG...and, not a moment too soon.

I'll start college August 23rd.

The younger kids start a day later.

Yeah hopefully it doesn't change here either. They have been threatening, lengthened school years or even all year round for awhile. but atleast somebady has the common sense in PA to give the kids a break. I think I go back to college the 23rd. I'll be honest, I can't wait to go back to school.

My kids go back on August 11th... My older one is going into middle schhol! I cant believe it!! And my younger goes into 4th grade... Time really does flyyyyyyyyyyyy~

No threats of that here yet. I am sure it is coming though like everything else.

My son starts college on the 23rd too. He is excited because this will be his first year. The young children should be allowed a longer summer. Alot of parents are not able to take their vacations in June or July. And when they finally get to in August to spend time with their children, poof school starts.

My brothers start on August 16th, I get one more week off to August 23rd!

We start back on August 5th but we get out of school around May 9th. They have really screwed up the schedule here in Florida.
