I have always wondered why people hide on the forums? I have noticed replies to some of the threads but dont see that poster? Is it they are hiding and if so why? Just curious.

I hid for a couple of days after a poster who isn't around these
parts anymore e-mailed me about a row they had with someone.

I was sort-of paranoid, and, didn't want them to PM me
after seeing me online. I became reassured that all was well,
and, changed my status back to being seen.

LoL, yes - it's a way of hiding for whatever reasons we may
have!

Yup.. There is an option in your profile that says "Hide online Status" You select yes or no, then click submit at the bottom of the page
