Oh, I did have a blast ... especially in regards to Fourth of July festivities in Stone Mountain, GA on Saturday, and Acworth, GA on Sunday ...
Six Flags was cool, and so was the water park last Friday (until thunderstorms ripped through Gwinnett County, but there were indoor pools as well) ...
Glad to be home ...

Welcome back Mike and you didn't miss anything in the tropics because the Atlantic continues very quiet.

I, periodically, got to check the tropics, and make a few posts ... I did notice a couple of areas of interest last week, but the story was by far, the heat and severe weather ...

Glad you're back, SF! Any really cool "points-
of-interest" that you visited? I only know
about driving through Atlanta, in a raving
construction-ridden turmoil, via interstate-
and, I know, that CAN'T be Atlanta!
I'm going to have to go there, in the
fall, for a neurology workshop....any tips?

Let's see, tips ... NEVER ever drive on Atlanta streets during rush-hour ... nothing like bumper-to-bumper traffic moving approx. ½ MPH for miles (even with 6 lanes of traffic)
Watch out for what's known at the Atlanta Suicide Sweep ... where traffic getting on the interstate enters from ramp and sweeps across 5 lanes of traffic all the way to the far left lane with no regard to oncoming cars (also applies to people exiting onto an on-ramp from the far-left lane sweeping across 5 lanes of traffic to get to the exit).
Generally, the general flow of traffic is around 80 mph through Atlanta on 285. The state troopers and area police's leeway is about 12 miles an hour over, but if you're pulled going 25 MPH over the speed limit, forget a ticket, you're going to jail.

LOL, thanks, SF and Jeremy, but, hey - I thought suicide was
sitting in CRAWLING traffic through construction while you had
to PEE so bad that your eyeballs were floating...??

OK -
there you all have it - my memory of Atlanta - I gotta dig in
and do better than that, eh?
