Iraqi Elite Force charging South towards Marines

#1 Postby Steve H. » Wed Mar 26, 2003 5:23 pm

A charge on the Marines is underway by a group of Iraqi Elite Republican Guard troops with approx 1000 armored vehicles. They will bypass the advancing US Army troops and go after the marines, probably figuring that the Medina Elite can handle out ARMY guys when they get to Baghdad. I believe they are trying to take advantage of the weather conditions, but they are behind the curve. The weather is improving and intercept aircraft are on the way. Saddam thinks he's got the jump on us. Time to get pumped Troops :grrr:

Bring them on! The USMC "Devil Dogs" are tired of MREs, and could use the fresh meat... :x

This report now seems to be in error. Seems that there be some movement of troops but no major armour or artillery. With US air dominance any large movement of armour would be sitting ducks for A-10's and Apache helicopters.
