Hey Mary - we're both from that club - what a few of my friends my age like to say - the 55 Club! 1955 was a very good year huh? LOL

Well, I have ya beat by a few months (turn 50 in May). So I'll let you know if my world falls apart!!! Or a band shows up for when that AARP card arrives - my family has been saying for years now - soon you'll get your AARP card Mom!!!! Ever since I was 47 or something. I joke with them I can hardly 'enjoy' being 47-49, b/c all I ever hear about is that big 5-0 looming ahead.....

Just thought I'd make ya feel better....you're not the only old fart around here!

and USCG Hurricane Watcher...happy birthday to us when it gets here!! You just 20 years young .... you could be my child...I do have a daugther that will be 21 June 1st so it could have been, but I got a late start.

My mom had her first child on her birthday and her 4th and last child the day before her birthday.......that is a funny thing. My other brother is 4th of July and I sometimes am Labor Day and my Dad was Veterans Day...we are all special

HB early, if I miss a greeting for you somewhere along the line....May is a one crazy month for us - Mother's Day, BD's (my brother's is the 18th!), end of the school year, recitals, concerts, banquets, etc. I'm resting up right now!

May is crazy in our family too, as is June. My mom's birthday is only 5 days before mine (she'll be 47), and our situation would've been similar to yours but I was a few days late. I share a birthday with my great grandfather (now deceased) and my cousin's baby, plus an aunt's is 2 days before my mom's and my brother's is a week and a half after mine. Then comes June - anniversary month. I can never keep these things straight so I'm gonna have to bug my mom about emailing them all to me again.

Andy - wow, you have a few more BD's in May than we do! I'd have to write them all down, to keep them straight too. You were born late, my daughter who came on May 21st was born 3 weeks early! Healthy I might add. We surprised everyone with the early morning call the next day to announce her arrival. "But you're not due until early June!" we kept hearing. Well, Mother Nature has her way....LOL

We asked my husband's cousin to be her Godmother, even though it was tradition in his family to ask a sibling. I just felt closer to his first cousin. Turns out, she was also a Godmother to her sister's child....born on May 21st! We all had goose bumps when we realized both of her Godchildren shared the same BD, but 18 years apart. I just smiled and say - it was meant to be!

Funny how things work out....I had been doing some part-time work for my husband's company the night before her labor started. Just simple envolope stuffing/labeling but it was a lot of stooping, lifting, not heavy work though. And I was so weary of being pregnant, the usual pains you've probably heard your mom share.....so I said a silent prayer that I deliver soon. I didn't think it would be about 4 hours later!
