Good afternoon S2K people.. Just wanted to let you know I had a great time singing this morning..
We did 3 songs today. We did the "Family Prayer" song and 2 others.
I'll admit I was nervous when I got into the choir loft with the rest of them.. But once the music started.. My nerves ceased..
I was also given rave reviews by fellow choir members as well as my friends who were sitting in the congregation..
Just thought I'd tell you I'm giddy and in a great mood as well

GREAT to hear, John!!

So do you think you'll want to be a part of the choir now?

Actually yes Eric.. I will probably talk to the music pastor about it sometime this week.
A little nerve racking at 1st when you're sitting there just staring at about 600-700 people.. but when the music starts.. I just sang my heart out and looked around at the audience.. Nothing too it..

When using a gift God has given you to praise him it is a wonderful feeling. I sing in my church choir and ring bells in our bell choir also. I have had the blessing of going to NYC to sing at Carnegie Hall with a 150 member choir in April of 2002 in order to give something back to the people of New York that lost so much. It was a very exciting and humbling experience. I hope you experience as many blessings as I have John in givng back to the Lord.

Congratulations, John.
Now can you explain the saying: "preaching to the choir?"
