Pretty timely, since today is Flag Day.

For now, "Under God" stays! Atheist dad's case has no standing because he has no authority to speak for his daughter. Case thrown out.

Don't celebrate too much.

It's not a true legal "decision" since they threw the case out. They did not actually decide whether it is or is not Constitutional. So, if the father manages to gain custody of his daughter, he *could* come back and fight it again. Or someone else could step up to the plate.

But, for now, it's over.

Never will understand atheists...wonder who they credit to for creation of the mountains, trees, animals, flowers, the weather, babies, etc.

To "them" I say...to each their own...

Well I don't think their is a need to remove under god from the pledge, but philisophically credit for all creation is something that I don't think can be fully answered. even if scientifically we figure out how the Big Bang came to be or whatever, there will always be the question of what came before. obviously I am not one who believes in the 6000 year theory but to deny the existence of some almighty power that started everything is naive, what exactly it is, would be something that will probably always be a mystery.
