clearly he is sympathetic to the islamists. the military is putting out the story that he was upset about being left behind, but this seems to be the same as john mohammed, the dc sniper. he changed his name to muslim as well.

we need to be more careful as to who we allow into the military

Just curious, does the military do back ground checks? I'm sure they do, if NOT.....we can expect a LOT more of this kinda BS!

Dennis

it seems it would be a dead giveaway

It is not just our military that they have penetrated. It is this very country that we live in that they have penetrated as well!! IMO, they only join our great military to reap the benefits. But when it comes down to defending this country and the freedoms we and THEY (or else they would live in the Middle East) love so much, they want no part of it, and in turn harm the people of this country and our military families! :x

I say SHIP THEM ALL OUT OF HERE! :x

Great idea!! It sure would send a message to anyone else who is thinking about doing something like this.

Dennis, the military does a basic background check for all enlistees. Whether this was a "Muslim" activity or just someone who was disiplined and decided to use violence to get back at people is yet to be seen.

he can be a human shield. i dont trust the military saying was upset at being left behind. they are filled with political correctness and are doing the usual cya

Do you believe anything rainstorm? I assume that's your opinion as opposed to a statement of fact.

up by a disgruntled gay sailor? they tried to pin it on him to cover up serious breeches in naval safety. the military is totally politically correct now. it is interesting that even an msnbc reporter said the military report on akbar was their "officail " version. do you think they want it out that they had a terrorist in their ranks?

Rainstorm, did you ever serve in the military? I'm just curious. You seem to have a very low opinion of the military command structure but a lot of confidence in our military capablilties. I find that a curious mix.

lol. Sadly i dunno what the background checks could have done to stop this attack. It really bit us in the butt.

The only way they could have found out about his background in Muslim, is by doing a background check of him for a security clearance of secret or higher. The FBI gets involved and questions family and friends for a security clearance of Top Secret or higher. I know this because my family and some close friends, along with our Church minister and school teachers were approached when I applied for a top secret security clearance. The basic check done when entering the military is basicaly a fingerprint check and a criminal background check.
