Well.. it appears that more help could be on the way for me...

1. I went to visit Mom today like I do nearly every day.. and a woman told me that just for me she'll call a "Vocational Rehab" type place. What they are.. is apparently an organization that helps people find jobs. They apparently will interview me, see what my interests are.. and then try to place me. They won't just throw me anywhere either.. They may try to see if they can put me where I feel interested..

2. The church may help with my job situation. My associate pastor gave me a number for a guy who does lawn service and runs his own company. He told me to go ahead and call them.. I won't be doing that till at least Friday because..

3... I will FINALLY be talking to my landlord about a job oppurtunity tomorrow. I meant to do it today.,. I really did.. But I got held up because Mom begged me to stay longer with her today then I planned on..

However.. There appears to have been a minor "issue" regarding "Community Action" paying my rent.

According to what my pastor said.. They may not do it for 2 reasons.. 1. I am currently unemployed and 2. Because the lease still has my Mom's name on it and not mine.

However.. I was later told that apparently they will go ahead and help if I were to go down and see them with my pastor. Bottom Line.. My pastor said.. "don't worry because 1 way or another.. it will get done.."

When I lived in Ohio and now in NC...I've received ALOT of valuable help too through Vocational Rehabilitation...in fact a job counselor up in Roanoke Rapids 'steered' me to an autism specialist elsewhere in eastern NC who eventually diagnosed me with Asperger's Syndrome when I was 35. While in Ohio one of the things that I and some other clients did was have some practice job interviews and which were videotaped to show to us all as a group later on the same day. I wish you the VERY best with V.R. and those others mentioned, Bro! Prayers and thoughts continue for you.

The update is this.. I'm still at square 1 on my job search..

My landlord wasn't much help jobwise since there are currently no openings here..

On another note.. Because Mom isn't coming back apparently.. I had to move a lot of her stuff into my room .. My room now looks like it was hit by an atom bomb

Have you contacted the guy that does lawn service??
