I recall that his favorite snack food was Jellybeans...as one time I saw in a news photo of him sitting at his Oval Office desk with a big decanter of them.
During his years in the White House I had fun doing an impersonation of him
with the words..."Weeelll Nancy!"
He was always like a big strong but gentle teddy bear type of individual and he and Nancy looked fabulous together!

I remember him as firm and gentle at the same time....but always always respectful of his wife, his family, and his country.
Mr. Gorbachev, Tear Down This Wall! is the speech I remember most from his time in office.

My favorite "Reaganism" was given during one of his debates with Walter Mondale in 1984;
"Age is not, and never has been an issue in this campaign! In fact, I have specificallly instructed my staff to refrain from any mention of the youth and inexperience of my opponent!"
Even Mondale got a chuckle out of THAT one...

Reagan had so many memorable quotes. I'll never forget the Youth and Inexperience comment at the 1984 debate. Also others:
After he was shot
To his doctors: "I hope your all Republicans"
To his wife: "Honey, I forgot to duck"
To reporters afterwards: "If someone tells you to get in a car quick, do it"
also
"Mr. Gorbachev TEAR DOWN THIS WALL!"
and
The quote from the speech after Challenger blew up about "Sirly bonds of Earth".
