A few of you know that I drive, on occasion, limousines part time. Well last Friday I was asked to work on Sunday and Monday, I turned it down because I was looking for a nice weekend off. My boss asked if I was sure I didn't want to work ,I said , Yes.
He says, Don't you want to know who it's for. I said "all right who is it." He says " It's an ambassador from China coming into our town and he, his wife and an entourage will be staying Sunday til Monday touring the city, North shore of Lake Superior and looking at different sites."Yes I looked it up and it was Yang Jiechi.
I still turned it down, but now wonder if I shouldn't have, it would have been pretty cool to meet someone like that, how often does that happen.
I heard now afterwards they were very nice, took pictures with the driver who took my spot and such.
Should I have taken the job? Honest answers are accepted.
