The producers of The Day After Tomorrow actually predicted it would come in 2nd. It was a pretty tight race. Pretty good considering the mixed reviews. :D

And still the totals for the weekend will include what the films will gross tommorow Memorial day so much more money will pile up between those 2 movies.

Shrek outsells day after tomorrow

Shrek 1 was great, so many people who enjoyed it will see part 2. The Day After Tomorrow had great special effects that made it worth seeing, but the plot line was somewhat weak.

I am in the minority I guess, but I didn't care for Shrek. I am not a big fan of Mike Meyers. Maybe that is why....

Saw Shrek2. I liked the first one better. But this one was good as well. haven't seen The day after tomorrow just yet, but plan on seeing it tomorrow!
