This should probably be posted in the USA Weather Forum, but it's *kinda* Off Topic so........

We've had "23 STRAIGHT DAYS" of winds in excess of 40-50 MPH, do you know just how much the wind REALLY gets on peoples nerves and how GROUCHY they get? With this being the biggest holiday weekend of the summer tourist season, there are some REAL BUTTHEADS up here, thank GOD I'm NOT in retail anymore, I'd be in jail for murder Seriously, we went to the store yesterday evening for a bottle of wine/beer and the PEOPLE are SO RUDE, they were ALL complaining about the wind, as if we can do anything about it up here

Should have a couple more days of it at least too, Dennis. Already breezy down here in the valley this morning, and that usually means plenty for you folks.

Hopefully as the temps go up next week the winds will go down.

in the High Country of AZ. The winds are expected to drop off for a while as the temperatures go up, but by the end of next week the MR models have a postive tilt trough extending off shore with a ridge east of us and good old AZ in a hot dry SW flow for more winds-this time the June variety which are hot and dry instead of cooler and dry like the May winds.

Yes....it's true, we're are entering into the 8th year of an Exceptional drought but....there's still plenty of water. We have over 22 man made lakes up here, rivers, streams etc., while Phoenix has HUNDREDS of miles of irrigation canals from the Salt River chain of reserviors, in fact, the second case of human Niles Virus has been reported in Maricopa County.

we have this minor seasonal windflow pattern called the monsoon during which the humidity values approach those found in Miami in the Summer and we can get 2-4 inches of rain in 30 minutes time.
