O'TAY....we've ALL heard our mothers tell us "Don't do this, don't do that!" at some point in our lifes and how many of us REALLY listened?

So, with that said, have you ever done something that you REALLY regret and you think..."My God, my mother told me NOT to do that!"
WELL...this was REALLY, REALLY STUPID of me BUT.....I was opening a pack of beef jerky yesterday (tough packaging BTW) just as it opened, I pulled one of my front teeth loose

Talk about PAIN

My mother ALWAYS told me, "Don't open ANYTHING with your teeth, you'll break a tooth!" Imagine that, "She WAS RIGHT!"

Other than the usual nasty put-downs, my mom always said "You shouldn't even TRY to do that..."
I didn't listen to her, thank God! (Boy Scouts, USAF, STL MPD, college, etc....anything that I considered worthwhile, that might require some effort)

Mine is also dental related. "Dont chew that hard candy" I enjoyed crunching jaw breakers, and guess what, I broke a tooth. Didn't catch up with me until I was 44!

My Mother is famous for "Don't sit so close to the TV you will go blind" And now I am almost blind. I say that to my kids all the time too.

I've heard in recent years...that standing TOO close to a microwave oven can lead to potential cataracts later in life...
