On my soapbox! :)

{steps on top of my soapbox}

I am so sick of my age gap in society. The late teenage, early 20's crowd. Here's why..

If I could ever have a conversation with a young lady that doesn't deal with sex.. I'd probably drop dead..

Everytime I turn around it's either "cyber this.. or yada yada yada.." Not to mention the occasional propositions I got in school or how often I either receive a lacy e mail or a pornographic pop up ad.

I just wish society would learn that not everything has to be based around the 3 letter s word. Plus I wish teenagers and young 20's men and women would learn what their values are and just try to take sex out of the picture..

I apologize if anyone was somehow offended and if this was rated R..

Wow teens are still putting up with that? lol. Just wait til you hit 25. Either everyone is too old for you or everyone is too young for you.

I don't think about the three letter word or the four letter word AT ALL anymore. It's hell to be old......

Great topic, John!

Life shouldn't be just about the S word...in fact that's what is WRONG with the world so much today! :eek:

In the past...2 churches I was a member of in Roanoke Rapids had "True Love Waits" rallies for teens and they even went up to Washington, DC for them! :)

PS: Sorry if any toes *OUCH*...were stepped on! :P

My pastor always preaches waiting till marriage, and he also always tells me if I can be strong enough.. I will survive..

It just irks me how a lot of girls I talk too on the computer.. when we start becoming friendlier.. they automatically expect romance or even sexual innuendo..

Then.. when I refuse to give.. {my usual "excuse" is.. "not in the mood"... lol} They get all pissy and say the same thing.. "I'm a woman.. and I need sex or romance because I need to feel loved"..

What also appalls me.. is that a lot of these same women have told me.. that if they were ever with me here at my place.. and we did NOT have any sexual innuendo.. they'd be disappointed...

Makes me feel like all women think of me, is as a sex object.. and I'm tired of it..
