Red flags flying at local beaches

#1 Postby janswizard » Fri May 28, 2004 4:09 pm

For the third time this week, local beaches on the Treasure Coast of Florida are flying red flags - keeping people on the sand and out of the water. Reason? Sharks!

When I got there today, the yellow (caution) flag was flying but a short time later they raised the red flags and got everyone out of the water. For those of us who were knee deep in water, we could watch the little bait fish that the sharks were chasing running up into the shallow waters.
