Well, okay, now I gotta go home and set my DVR.
I was beginning to think I was only going to see the same things for weeks on end -- everyone fussing at Marlena, Sami whining (oh, but she's so cute otherwise!), and John scowling while in deep thought.
I'll have to watch it this weekend or later tonight and let you know my thoughts! I do recall seeing something about "the biggest twist in daytime ever!" and I forgot to check and try to find out WHEN it was going to happen.
Thanks for the reminder, Garrett!!

Warning!! Possible mega-spoilers, so if you're a DOOL-watcher and you don't want to know, don't read!!
A while back, I mentioned on a writer's forum my idea for an interesting premise for a serial killer movie. I would have called it "The Domino Murders" or "The Ripple Effect" or something like that because, after much investigation into what they thought were serial killings, the cops would discover that the killer of A (the first and only innocent victim) was killed by B, then the killer of B was killed by C, the killer of C was killed by D, and so on. But I was confused about how it could be pulled off without confusing the audience with too many twists.
Now I read this on a Days Of Our Lives spoiler/rumor site:
"It will be discovered that through brainwashing occurred via the telephone that Jack killed Abe, Maggie killed Jack, Caroline killed Maggie (remember the wine bottle), Cassie killed Caroline, Roman killed Cassie (remember the phone call Roman got right before he went looking for Cassie. Who is doing the hypnotizing? Marlena, a noted shrink and hypnotist who is operating under Stefano's instructions as a result of the pin prick she received on the pillow at Stefano's funeral (remember that??). Marlena took over the killings at that point, killing Roman, Tony, Doug and Alice."
If it's true, those b**tards!
But what a way to twist things on DOOL since I seriously don't think it's ever been done.

I'm not sure though because there were lots of spoiler rumores and not all of them (if any) can be true.

I got to record a DOOL episode at 6 on Soapnet, but I'm not sure if it's yesterday's or Thursday's ep. Paint me confuzzled.

Okay, so barring anymore hoo-ha from the news quackers at NBC, I *should* have taped Friday's episode today and now I ought to be able to find out what the big "twist" is.
But now I wonder, if the broadcasts are a day behind, won't that put a damper on Friday cliffhangers because now Monday eps will air on Tuesdays, Tuesday eps will air on Wednesdays, and so forth and now Friday eps won't air until Mondays. Oh, that's right...this is a soap opera. They can just edit out stuff since the same stuff stretches out for weeks on end and we're not going to notice a difference in days once they throw in another cliffhanger.
Okay, time to go spew about more finales.

The big twist occurs on/or about May 21st. But the lead-up to it is great as well Shawn.

Warning!! Possible spoiler -- don't read if you...ah, you know how it goes!
So, Garrett -- I forgot to set my DVR to record today, but I scanned through Monday and yesterday's, which I guess would actually be Friday and Tuesday's eps. Anyway, so the shoot to kill order was given and therefore they shot...and killed. One speculation I read was something about Hattie being Marlena and Marlena being Hattie. So, was that actually Hattie who just got killed? When I tuned in a while back and got to "meet" gum-chewing, black-leather-jacketed Hattie for the first time (because I don't rememer seeing her in previous years that I've watched), was it really Hattie then or was it Marlena? Also, when we (and Salem) met Hattie while Marlena was in the hospital bed recuperating, where did they take Hattie? I haven't seen her since that brief introduction (not that I've been watching). How have the Salemites not been confused since she came into the picture? Surely that's not the big twist -- to have one person who was thought to be another be shot and killed and then we find out it wasn't the person at all but instead it was their twin. Hasn't that whole twin thing been used up in a hundred ways? Or am I missing something.

GalvestonDuck and wx247 glad to know i am not the only person addicted to this show

wx247 where do you get your info from regarding spoilers? Just wondering if they are the same sites as mine. I am so anxious for this twist to come. JR promises it will shock everyone.

At the end of today's show:
Celeste: "Marlena, what is it you want of me?"
Marlena: "I want you to make them understand. I want you to make them realize...everything that has happened. It's been a lie."
Okay, so Celeste is seeing Marlena's ghost...or something. The embalmer never got to exanguinate Marlena's body, so she can come back to life if that's what they want us to believe (or if that's what actually happening anyway).
Everything is a lie, so no one has been killed?
I suppose that means it could all be a dream. Not original, but never done before in daytime history, as far as I know. So I see how they could claim it as the "biggest twist" for daytime shows.
Looking forward to the 21st!

You are wrong Shawn. It isn't a dream!

Good guess though.

do you buy into this matrix theory going around?

Well, I haven't been watching Days but I still say that...
1. Marlena isn't the murderer.
2. And she isn't dead!
Now if I'm wrong on both counts, then I'm so glad I quit watching this show! Because the Marlena I knew and loved, couldn't have killed anyone, not even someone as evil as Stefano! LOL

Matrix -- as in the movie?
Seeing as I've never watched any of the Matrix movies (Keanu Reeves??? Puh-leeze!), that does nothing to spoil anything for me.
Well, it's not a dream, but we know it's a lie (based on Marlena's statement). Hmmmmmm.....
