Good for the president to say those words today and now I hope that the Iraqies will respond much better than in past days.Hopefully the Iraqies will see the US as good people that will help them not bad people that may do harm. And he backs 100% his secretary of defense Donald Rumsfeld despite some calls from democrats for him to resign.

No reaction here about what Bush said about being sorry about the humilliation caused to the iraqi prisoners? I guess the american people are satisfied with the president saying those words.

big mistake. apologies are for the weak and spineless. apologies dont bring victory. did roosevelt apologize for japanese sailors being machine gunned as they floated helplessly in the water? once we start down the road of apologizing for every thing we do, we are finished.
the way we apologize is to punish the soldiers and win the war

I am sick and tired of us being held to a higher standard! The Iraqis get a free pass for mistreating our troops yet we are held accountable. Dont give me this about us having higher morals, the point is the methods work, plain and simple. I'd rather be a jerk and a thug, yet win the war than be a nice guy and end up dead
