Some not so good news

My mom's friend's niece, Nicole, has been battling cancer since a very young age... About a year ago, we all thought that she fought it and it was out of her. But, then it came back. And last night, at the age of 15, she passed away. I'm sure the family is emotionally destroyed and could use as much prayers as they can get, so if you can take a few seconds and pray for the family tonight, I'm sure they'll appreciate it.

God Bless you all.

Awww.. 15 years old huh  Cases like that are why I like doing RFL every year. We continue raising money for research and all kinds of things to hopefully wipe cancer off the map.

God bless her soul and lifting prayers to her family..

That is why I have a program crunching numbers for the cancer research. Since I had thyroid cancer in 1999, I have been crunching numbers with this program. Every time I get the units done, it gets sent to the proper place that uses it. Prayers are going out for the family .

Prayers go out for Nicole's family. As a trained wish-granter for the Make-A-Wish Foundation I was part of some wonderful times with young people like her...and while some had happy endings, others did not.

Hard to understand...

All I can do is send out my "Midwest Prayer Warrior Call" (which I have already done), and comfort you with the knowledge that she is no longer in pain...and that she is in His Presence, at last, and will be awaiting you with open arms...smiling.

Colin - oh that is so sad. Of course I will pray for her family. Like Daylillydawn, I am a cancer survivor too. So stories like this really hit home. And it's even more tragic when it's someone this young. So hard to endure, understand, come to terms with. I participate in my 5th Relay for Life May 14. I will say a special prayer for her family. Colin, can I ask her first name? I always like to put a name with my prayers. Thank you.

Mary
