A 1980 Ford LTD... an old police car, that I bought from a cop. It was painted blue, and looked just like an undercover "narc" car, which made it very nice going through speed traps. The cops at the traps would just wave to me! :grrr: 8-)

Mine IS a 1997 Mercury Villager Mini-van. I am thinking of trading it in this summer and buying a gaz guzzling SVU.

The gas mileage is amazing! :) I went two weeks straight of not having to fill up! :)

1981 chevy citation  That thing ran forever, until I sold it to one of my best friends, and she fell asleep at the wheel on the way home from Grad night. She hit another one of our friends head on on the way to work. They had to cut the car to get her out. They both survived :)

'67 Chrysler Newport. Land Yaht. 2 door (very rare - I find out now after it's gone). 383 auto. Definitely made for cruising. Bench seats with seating for about 12. It had a trunk that could hold a spare car.

LOL, Ed!

Mine was a '69 Camaro - no 350 motor, though -
it was a 6-cylinder that, well, sounded like
a 6-cylinder....

I drove a 1973 Chrysler Newport for about two weeks. Mine had the 318 in it. It would cruise and seat 12 too. We had so much fun that two weeks.

My father-in-law has a '66 Newport that still runs. I've driven it, and you're spot-on about the land boat observation-- I said the exact same thing!

I would just hate to be in the other car if it ever was involved in an accident. It doesn't exactly have crushable bumpers.

I seem to remember this ??? being asked before!

Mine was a 50-somethin' Anglia or English Ford. My Dad and I had matching ones! They were white.....looked like something a child would draw when they wanted to make a car drawing. Hey! I only paid $60.00 for it......had a great little heater for these Mi. winters......I drove it a couple years until I found a nice little VW Bug for $350.00! These were the sixties......cars had different appeal to young people back then! Almost every young guy was looking for older cars to "pep up" and sneak out on the country roads to drag race. I got pretty good at double clutching........'course that was in the '64 GTO!........p
