what if once we go into iraq and defeat them (which despite my reservations against any war i know we can and will defeat them relatively quickly) we fail to find any WMD?

Don Imus of Imus in the morning brought this up and his response was
"the US will make SURE they find chemical & biological weapons, even if they have to import them from the United States. I can see it know soldiers removing made in USA markings and replacing them with made in France or Germany ones."

i thought that what he said was very funny. thought i would share

I think that's ONE of the reasons for CNN being so *pushy* let's say, they are right in the middle of everything, they want to be the first ones showing the world that there are bio-chem weapons there!

I really want this to be settled. We will find out real soon if they have them or not.

I have no doubt that we will find them. I just hope it's just not when they are used!

What will be more interesting will be records of French dealings with Iraq. I just hope we find and publish them!

Actually everyone gave Iraq weapons at some point in time. We did...as well as most other leading nations.

You're right JQ. We actually gave Saddam some of his first chemical warfare capability if I understand the history correctly. We have to shoulder some of the blame for sure! What I was talking about though specifically are transactions that have occured during the UN ban after 91.

Sorry that I didn't make myself clear :D

Yes... I think that is exactly the military's point. With all these journalists there we will know everything the soldiers see -- good or bad.
