A Nebraska senator has passed a bill to only allow Emergency management officals to storm chase in the state. I will post the article when I can find it.

Brett, it must be a roumor, because I have not heard anything along those lines. Plus, our legislature wrapped up for the year about 2 weeks ago.

Nope...saw the article. It has been a bit to be honest....I will have to find it. It shocked me and I still don't really believe that they would consider this.

I looked on my state's legislature website, and did a search through all the bills that were brought up, I found nothing dealing with storm chasing.
In addition, I did a search on my newspaper's website. Omaha.com
However, I have seen on Chuck Doswell's website (where he explains rules and ettiquette) that it may get to a point to where some governmental control might be necessary.`

Of course, Mother Nature might be banning storm chasing in Nebraska and then some.

It would not happen. Even if such a law was passed, it would be very difficult to enforce.
"Oh, no, officer, I am just coming home from school and this big supercell thunderstorm popped up." Again, I can't find anything on this either through our legislature website or our newspapers/TV/radio outlets.

Good point. I mean come on what are they gonna stop anyone on the roads who happens to be caught out when a thunderstorm hit's? Yea i would highly suggest the funny farm for anyone who would even concieve of a law like this. I have serious doubts as to such a law. However if you find anything Brett be sure to post it. Thanks.
