My fortune cookie...

...says, "For a good cause, wrongdoing may be virtuous."

Now, just what in the world is that supposed to mean? Aside from killling (a wrongdoing) someone in self-defense or defense of another (a good cause), I don't see many other instances where my committing a wrongdoing could be for a good cause and, therefore, virtuous.

minor breaking of the law or rules to assist someone would fit..i.e.

medical marijuana for someone who is suffering
sneaking into a hospital after hours to be with a loved one
Helping a Soviet defector in the 80's
etc.

Zwyts -- I guess I'll wait and see. None of those applies to any current situations of which I am aware.
