HI S2K people..
Here is my simple question..
Tomorrow.. I plan on going down to my local bank and opening up a bank account. I have the money required because it claims I don't need a minimum balance and even if it did.. I have a good stash of $ I wanna put in.
Here's the question.. What will I need to present to these banker people? such as ID's or where I live or anything like that lol..

John, I think that the "no minimum balance" refers to after the account is open. In many cases, there will be a monthly service charge if your account drops below a set level. However in this case that rule would not apply. I would be surprised if they let you open an account with $1. You will probably have to deposit at least $50 to open the account. That's been my experience here anyway.
With the patriot act, banks are more strict with ID requirements. SS card, and picture ID would probably be the minimum. You should call them before you go, to find out exactly what you need. It would be a pain to go there and have to go back home to retrieve something.

You may need to go to the RMV to get a picture ID.
