You may say why the elections in the US has to do with the movie the day after tommorow.Well that movie already is making nervous folks of the Bush team as the global warming issue takes center stage in that movie.I am eagered to see it when it premieres on may 28th.

LOL - Oh geesh. It's just a movie.

I want to see it because I saw the trailer and the special effects look outstanding, but it's just a movie. I don't buy the whole global warming thing. It reached upper 30's down here about a week ago - in the middle of April!! Oh the heat!!

Global Warming doesn't exclude the occurrence of periods of unusual cold-quite the contrary in fact since when you add energy to the atmosphere, you tend to increase the possibility of extremes. The movie is one scenario that is based upon the shutdown of the thermohaline circulation due to massive meltwater runoff from the icecaps brought about by Global Warming (poor choice of a descriptive term BTW), this is just one that's deemed possible and is based upon what happened 13000 years ago during the temperature runup at the conclusion of the last Ice Age.
