I have told my family...

...as much as I love them and appreciate all that they do for me and who that they are, please don't ever put me in the position of having to choose between something for them and keeping my broadband connection!!

Awesome. I couldn't believe the difference in speed when I went from dialup to Roadrunner. I will never go back :) One thing, make sure you have a firewall and good virus protection program. I use AVG. It's free. I used Mcafee before and this is better. The cable connection is more prone to attacks. I guess because it's always on  Enjoy!!

Don't get me started on Adelphia. I have been trying since the Monday before Christmas, yes, over 4 months now, to get Powerlink. They even sent me the modem, but they can't give me a straight answer to save their life.

Rainband
you said you use AVG anti virus
do you use the free version or did you purchase it?
I use the free version and was wondering if it was worthwhile to upgrade or not

msbee. I use AVG Free and feel more secure than I did when I was using Norton Antivirus. Norton let things through all the time, but I never had a break through with AVG
